Ringmail Vambrace

While its not exactly forge work it is still metal work. I started doing ringmail while living in 2 bedroom apartment in Montreal where obviously I could not do any sort of hot iron work. The cold worked ringmail was a great way to introduce myself to metal working and really spurred my interest in learning blacksmithing and armourer work. This vambrace had been sitting around in pieces for about 8 months but on Wednesday I finally finished it. It turned out pretty good, it needs a few adjustments at the wrist cause it does pinch a bit but other than that it's pretty comfortable.

Railroad Spike Forester Hatchet

I left the head of the spike in tacked and flattened slightly when forming the pole so it could be used as a hammer. The handle was a spare hickory hammer handle I had lying around.
